“ more people will see the photos of your artwork than will actually see the physical artwork itself …. they are crucial to our practice and they can change the trajectory of our career“
Amy Kennedy, Artist & Mentor
photo sessions for creatives
This is a personalised experience tailored to reflect your practice to create images that tell the story of what you make and why you make it. I capture the essence of your work: your practice, process and studio life - the messy and the polished!
I will deliver a beautiful, versatile collection of images that you can use across your creative practice — including social media, your website, marketing materials, and applications for grants, residencies, and education programs. You will also receive print-ready images for exhibition promotion, business cards, magazine submissions, postcards, and even note cards for customers.
HOW THE SESSION WORKS
After a short consultation and a tour around your space we will get to work! For most of the session I will be quietly photographing you at work, offering direction as needed. I will also photograph your space, your tools and materials, your work, the finished, the in-progress and even the ideas still at scribble stage.

I have been photographing professionally for more than 15 years, and artists — along with their spaces — have always been my favourite subjects. Everything in these environments feels visually rich and compelling, but what truly draws me in is the tangible expression of a life dedicated to making art.
In retrospect, this fascination probably inspired the development of my own art practice—initially in paper, and over the past three years, in ceramics.
The development of my own art practice informs every photograph I take of other artists. I understand the dedication behind each brushstroke, sketch, or sculpture, and I seek to capture that in my image.
I can’t wait to meet you in your studio soon!
