I have always loved photographing makers in their spaces. This is not the first time I've photographed Malcolm but any opportunity to photograph this legend in his incredible space jumps to the top of my list! It was possibly the first interview and photo session I did with Malcolm more than 15 years ago that inspired my own adventures into ceramics... The surfaces in Malcolm’s humble studio are a beautiful palimpsest of muted colour layered over the years of making his sought-after tableware. It's a small space and could feel chaotic but instead feels purposeful — every tool and object has its place, reflecting the  rhythm of his prolific practice.
