There are so many ways to capture the essence of a person. I like to keep it real. Natural light. As you are.
My secret love is photographing people in their personal spaces. For most of us this where we get to be who we really are and do what we really love. Often people hesitate to let others come into this private space [especially a photographer] expecting they should tidy up & glam up in order to present a 'better' version of themselves …. I think we have all seen enough of that.
The beauty and the story is always in the imperfections, the honesty - and even the chaos.

What Remains Series This series explores the relationship between time, memory and place. It aims to document our collective memories of what was and what remains.
Work from this series has been selected for The Little Things Art Prize, 2018 and the North Sydney Art Prize 2019. Corridors #5 (images 1, 2, 3) Using 100s of photographs stitched into tiny books I have reconstructed, rearranged and rescaled the landscape of an old hospital site. These ‘books’ form a maze of corridors illustrating the movement of all the people who have passed through the hospital. 560 x 760mm
Site Map #2 (images, 4 ,5, 6) 1000’s of tiny circular images mapping the site: rescaled, rearranged. 560 x 760mm
Site Map #1 (images 7, 8 ,9 ,10) 1000’s of mounted images mapping the site: rescaled, rearranged. 560 x 760mm
